In the AIMS5.0 project, IPH is responsible, among other things, for providing an autonomous drone that can be used to measure an unknown environment using a laser scanner. Currently, established exploration solutions are to be compared so that a selection of methods can be made for the real experiments.

Your tasks

You will implement and optimise exploration solutions and then examine their properties. The following exciting tasks await you:

  • Research
  • implementation
  • Redesign and customisation
  • Testing and validating software quality in a simulation environment

Other tasks and topics that are of interest to you can be worked out together.

Your profile

You are studying one of the following subjects:

  • Computer science
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Business informatics
  • electrical engineering
  • or a similar subject

You are interested in working on new and challenging tasks. You also have knowledge of programming with C++.

It is also desirable that you are interested in long-term collaboration after completing the task.
